I had completely forgotten about this blog, but once again I find myself here at a stupid time at night when I should be sleeping.
I was going to blog about gymnastics in the run up to the Olympics but now they are over!! This makes me sad as it was the closest I will ever get to a home games, Ireland is never likely to host them, but really excited in another way to see what this quad bring!!
I was one of the lucky few who managed to get my hands on an elusive ticket for the gymnastics! Don't ask me how I managed it, but with a lot of refreshing of the London 2012 ticketing site I got 1, and yes I mean 1 I couldn't even manage to get a 2nd ticket for my mam!
WOW is all I can say about the competition, I had tickets for Subdivision 3 and 4, which included the USA, Team GB, Russia and China as well as others. It was amazing, and the 1st time I had ever seen gymnastics live, I know I know what a great 1st competition. The USA were on fire and I saw hit routine after hit routine. My biggest memory of subdivision 3 was when I realised Jordyn had not qualified to the AA Final, utter shock and her tears broke my heart. Subdivision 4 is a big blur, more hit routines and trying to decided who to watch the Russians or the Chinese. I don't remember much except the excitement in the arena at the end when everyone realised Team GB had qualified to the final.
To top off an amazing day I also met Anna Li, the American alternate on the tube, she was lovely and posed for a picture and signed my ticket. I also met Peng Peng Lee from Canada, who I would have loved to see compete but unfortunetly she is injured, and 3 of the Italian Gymnasts. I had my eyes peeled for Shawn Johnson all day and even had her book with me in case I met her but I didn't see her, in fact I kept that book on me at all times during my week in London n case I ran into her but it was not to be.
Ok I think that is enough randomness for now. Maybe I will post again soon maybe it will be another 10 months but who knows, all I know is I am excited about what the next 4 years holds for gymnastics!
So for now, as the new college year starts, Go Gators *Chomp Chomp* 'If you're not a Gator, you're Gator Bait!!' (I am excited for the NCAA season already and what a team the Gators have)

Sleep deprivation leads to making a blog
It is 5.53am and I, in my sleep deprived state, decided to make a blog!
I will just ramble on about absolutely nothing at ridiculous hours of the morning whenever the mood strikes me . . . probably not that often!
Plan to maybe blog a little about gymnastics, with my limited knowledge, in the lead up to the Olympics!!
I am a Gators Gymnastics fan . . . *chomp chomp*!!
I also kinda follow Georgia and UCLA . . . well some of their gymnasts not them exactly!!
Ok so that ends tonights ramblings about nothing!!
